In a wonderful embodiment of the increased optimism, we are all feeling at the moment it was an absolute joy to welcome Mrs Henderson’s Year 12 A level Art students from St Joan of Arc School to Wishful and the surrounding shops a few days ago.

Organised by the brilliant Esther Murphy from our neighbours at The Sinclair Gallery the Pavement Art initiative brought some dearly needed colour, activity, energy and enthusiasm to our little stretch of the High Street.

As well as immortalising “Tony the Toad” from Cafe 122 the Wishful Al Fresco Experience has now been officially designated as a “Relaxing Only” zone. Huge thanks to Esther, Mrs Henderson and her incredibly gifted students – their talents shone through!!
