But what a fabulous couple of weeks we had sampling the sheer variety of classic German beers from the fridges.  This allowed Wishfullers a glimpse of a different style of beer excellence that is a long way from the hop forward juicy and rich Pales and IPA’s we all love so much at Wishful.

And then there was the Prize Draw for the WD Stainless Steel Growlers with Singe Swainson and Iain Scarlett emerging as the lucky winners.

Now, some of you will recall that Capt. Scarlett won a Growler in last years Oktoberfest Draw and topman that he is Iain relinquished his prize in favour of third-placed Scott Parker who now gets the Growler!! A fabulous gesture from Iain in the true Wishful spirit!!

Following the excitement of the Draw, we untidily left the prize Growlers on the bar over the weekend just so that they would be ready for collection not thinking anything more of it. So, it was a pleasant surprise to have so many Wishfullers commented on how great they looked and enquired if they could buy one. And the answer is yes of course – we listen to the wishes of Wishfullers!! So in the next few days, we should be getting some Growlers in for sale over the bar and with Christmas coming up it could be an early tick on the shopping list for a lucky beer lover in your life!!
