We are sneaky sometimes Wishfullers. But only when it’s for a very good cause…

Some of you may have noticed that we have – in a somewhat stealthy subtle sort of way – been staging some surreptitious “events” designed to brighten up your post lockdown beers.

There was DIPA Night, then last week the Best Before Night. And we are still in the middle of Oktoberfest of course.

But now it’s time to come clean, to be upfront and honest, and to give you a full heads up of our exciting plans to brighten up your Mondays and Tuesdays as the nights draw in and the clocks go back. So, in brief, here goes

• The return of Quizful Tuesday… unless we do it on a Monday!!

• The long-promised Carnival of Canine Capers otherwise known as Puppy Night for all of you who have either bought a hound during Covid or who have discovered that you always had one which now needs walking!

• East Vs West – which American coast is best.

• The return of Fevertree Fest – a night off from the pumps in favour of some Mothers Ruin

• Local Off – a blind tasting of beers from some of the numerous nearby brewers such as Popes Yard, Paradigm, Creative Juices and Lock 81 to see who are the Lords of the local libations.

• And finally it’s welcome back to Meet the Brewer nights – the feelers are already out to line up a cracking roster of our favourite fermenters
