Tasty, Very, Very Tasty! Upcoming Tastings Next Week at WD
Next week sees a new type of Beersome Twosome at Wishful with TWO yes TWO tasting events!
First up on Monday 24th January is the Brew By Numbers Meet the Brewer event. We have worked with your host for the evening from BBNo. Paul McTernan to bring you an absolutely stonking selection of brews. On kegs we will be tasting:
- BBNo. 55 – Mosaic & Idaho 7 Double IPA with CBD (8.0%)
- BBNo. 05 – Citra & Sabro IPA (6.2%)
- BBNo. 10 Coffee Porter – Coffee & Vanilla Porter (6.5%)
And if that was not enough, we will also be trying six top tipples in bottle and can:
- BBNo. 11 – Mosaic session IPA (4.2%)
- BBNo. 19 – Kiwi, Pear & Lime Gose (6.5%)
- BBNo. 21 – Pale ale Citra (5.2%)
- BBNo. 42 – DDH Pale Morden Wharf 2022 (5.5%)
- BBNo. 64 – Tiramisu stout (10%)
- BBNo. 18 – Farmhouse Peach & Apricot (6.5%)
All of these have been packaged in the last week or so meaning they will be super fresh and will be tasting at their very very best!
And then on Tuesday 25th January it’s our Burns Night Whisky and Beer Pairing Evening. The Haggis is waiting to be enjoyed with our expertly curated selection of five Scotches… Yes 5 not four Scotches as previously announced! We have Highland, Speyside and Islay regional drams and a couple of surprises including two Cask Strength whiskies both weighing in at more than 60% ABV. So if you have never tasted pure unfiltered undiluted unadulterated whisky straight from the cask then you are in for an absolutely tremendous tippling taste treat!
Balancing out this splendid array of Caledonian spirits we will also be sampling five very special Scottish beers:
- Harviestoun Ola Dubh 12 Year Imperial Porter (8.0%)
- Harviestoun Bitter and Twisted Bitter (4.2%)
- Cross Border Braw Pale Ale (5.2%)
- 71 Brewing Rollin Coaster IPA (7.4%)
- 71 Brewing Life in Motion IPA (6.5%)
So please join us for a couple of very tasty evenings next week. Both of these events kick off at 7.30pm, include a bit of light grub and are just £20 with tickets that are strictly limited on a first come first serve basis.
